Basic flight sim for MacBook Pro

Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a decent but basic enough flight sim for an Apple Macbook Pro?

Im after something that might teach me the very basics of flight without using joysticks etc. Just something simple for messing about with sitting on the couch!

Google earth has a VERY basic flight sim built in.

X-plane is far from basic but the best flight sim on the Mac, and it's up to you how much detail you want to go into with modeling the aircraft systems. You can use the touchpad and fly about by following a few basic tutorials on the main controls if you like.

You can download a time limited demo of X-plane 9 if you want to try it out free. X-plane 10 due out in the summer.

Flightgear is a free open source flight sim that works on macs. It's got a good user community too.

The Cessna 172, the default plane you start up with, has an inbuilt tutorial, which I have tried and it works reasonably well. Sure download it and play around with it, it's free.:)
