I am changing my car this summer and am seriously considering a Volvo V50 or Mazda 6. I think the Volvo is a good looking practical car and will have leather seats which I would like, not so sure how fuel efficient it is. Grateful if someone could offer any advice or opinion on my post above as to which is the better motor to go for. I forgot to mention that I will be buying second hand , 3 or 4 years old.

Don't get a Mazda 6 diesel (according to threads here - think they were about the 626 though!)
