If any country is gonna get a nuke dropped on them, I predict it's Israel.

It's very hard to not to side with Israel on this particular occasion. Protestors began the clash at the Israeli border, and Israeli soldiers shot back in retaliation in defence of their border. There has been tension building for the past few weeks, with many calls on social networking sites for these particular protests to take place, and many attended with violence in mind. The not too distant past shows that Israel would not take kindly to this and they didn't.

Do people complain and moan when Americans shoot dead Mexicans who try to illegally cross their border? I fail to see a thread about this matter on After Hours or it being reported as breaking news in the media. The media jumped on this story today, as blaming and accusing Israel is what they are good at.

I'm in no way saying this is how I feel about all the actions of Israel, I don't condone much of their past. However, I believe a bit of neutrality is needed as well to properly judge what happened today. This led me to supporting Israel on this particular matter.

Well done, another spurious thread started to let the usual suspects have a pop at Israel.

    Tiresome lads, very tiresome.

Not as tiresome as your posts/threads about your bowel movements.

Under 20 in 30 years, going on memory. Considering that theres literally millions of illegals who've used that route, I don't think we're comparing like with like.

Israeli using disproportionate force against Palestinian civilians yet again, sure that's their specialty. Oh what brave and mighty warriors the IDF are.

We're all Irish. Why do so many self-professed pinkos get upset about another nation's affairs? It doesn't concern you.

How many children were shot dead in Mexico City today? You don't care because you can't exploit their deaths to promote your agenda.

USA to bomb isreal in order to protect civilians

I don't know, but neither is right, and what your a pinko if you don't like to see civilians being shot dead?

Thats the problem with society today, people don't seem to give a fu*k about anyone but themselves.

The people shooting children in Mexico are classed as criminals and murderers. Plenty of threads have been started in relation to what's happening in Mexico. And bringing up the misdeeds committed by other groups does not negate the fact that Israeli policy in situations like this is contemptible.

And saying that it doesn't concern us is bullshit.. Israel acts on the international stage, under the scrutiny* of the UN which we are a part of.

    *not much, mind

Don't have to return like with like, for example if I was on duty and you threw stones at me and threatened to breech a security fence I'd return fire - with bullets!.

A recent example would be the breech of security at the West Midlands prison when a soldier on duty in Portlaoise prison fired on three trespassers who breeched the security fence.

    I don't know, ....

What do you mean "I don't know"? I already explained: the reason why you don't care about the hundreds of peasants that are murdered by left wing terrorists like the FARC rebels in Colombia (trained by our very own IRA - so proud) is because it doesn't sit well with your left wing agenda. Your kind are always quick to create another anti-Israel thread whenever a Palestinan gets a papercut, however.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,665 ✭✭✭baldbear

Well it looks like the Syrians are trying to deflect attention away from the protests in their country by brewing up a sh*t storm with Israel and the protestors.

Define the left-wing agenda which you seem so sure that people harbour..

The " I don't know" was in relation to your question, about how many children were killed in Mexico city today.

And your 'kind' are always quick to jump into these threads, desperately trying to divert attention away from Israel. I have a bit of respect for the people who at least try to defend Israel's actions (even when they are right-wing bigots), but people like you are nothing more than thread-shitters.

And your accusing me of having a "Left wing agenda", because Israeli soliders murdered 12 civilians today.

I dont have any agenda, I just think it's wrong tbh

Handily forgetting there that Israel is attempting to insinuate itself within Europe, has Europe for its largest trading partner, acts within Europe in against its laws and yet has long-range goal of joining the EU. Israel is very relevant to a European perspective, so it understandably receives more attention that countries which are not.

'defence of your own life, a comrades life, to prevent a prison outbreak and in defence of government property' were the circumstances allowed, if I recall. Wouldn't like to be the one who shot a 15 year old for chucking a rock though.

Israelis view the Palestinians as 'lice' and treat them with total disregard.
Their actions are deplorable and they have become what they hate most of all.

You could say the same about Turkey but we don't give a **** about Turkey.

I don't see your point tbh, I wouldn't like to have to shoot anyone regardless age.

As for breeching Israel's borders.. You know their borders aren't like our's with Britains border with our six counties - their's is a physical barrier, it takes a lot of violence to break that down.

It takes a concerted attempt to breech Israel's border's, and who the hell but a Palestinian would bring a child to a border incursion.

And btw, on the Lebanese side - Palestinians can not travel much further south than Tyre without Lebanese authorities permission.

Plus there is a state of emergency in the police state that is Syria these days - if the Syrians want the Golan breeched let them have the balls to do it themselve and stop sending children to do the dirty work for them.
