    Hi

    Just wondering if someone can help me with this:

    I want to give a cell a value based on its reference point of its own Column and Row

    For example the cell at C3 would have a value of C3

    Then if I need to add a row above this, the value of that same cell would then become C4

    Is this easy or possible to do?

    Cheers for the help

    =ADDRESS(ROW(),COLUMN())

    This will return the cell reference e.g. C3 --> $C$3

    If you don't want the $ contained in it you can remove them with something like this

    =MID(ADDRESS(ROW(),COLUMN()),2,1)&MID(ADDRESS(ROW(),COLUMN()),4,5)
