I hate what Jedward stand for (stupidity is OK among young people, we can't debate to save our lives, etc..) but you have to give them some credit if they go and win this bloody thing - it WILL raise this country's moral a few fold and they should get the kudos if it happens

If it doesn't, you still have to admire their enthusiasm

    Will it fcuk!

People are allowed to have opinions and are allowed to change them, especially since most people only heard of Jeward from x-factor, which they might not of watched, but now their on TV constantly. I'm not one of them, stupid hair-cutted twats, but better than Dustin.

You have sigs switched off? :p

So Jedward represent Ireland in the Eurovision....As if 1 turkey wasn't enough. Roll on Christmas...

What's the reason for being reasonable?

    Is that an unreasonable question?

Jedward in Eurovision. That makes the bank crash, recession, rampant unemployment and the coming of the IMF look like a party. A new low for the country. If you examine it carefully there is a terrible omen in what is going to happen. Apparently they'll be performing sixth on Saturday. Take 6 and then twin sixes. That gives 666: The sign of the devil. Appropriate. We are doomed.:(

In 2008 we sent a puppet. This year we sent two muppets. At least Dustin had talent.

My view on Jedward is that they are two clearly camp guys who only appeal to teenage girls.

But hey, they are making money. so good on them. they are just not my cup of tea. But do I matter? I cannot and will not begrudge anyone making money. They'll have lavish lifestyles now for all they are making.

and as for them going through to the eurovision finals. Screw it, good on them I guess. More money for them. However I wont be posting "knew you would do it lads" if they win. But of course, I will be saying fair play to them I guess.

Not a reliable source, just saw it somewhere on the net. Anyway, when they are deciding the running order, hopefully the authorities will see sense and not let them on at all. We may just be able to save a little bit of our credibility as a nation then.

You mean to tell us that you think it is fair play for someone to make money out of inflicting pain and suffering on people, and you wish them well on it?

Ah, but the bailout was us being given money, people helping us, doing something good for us. No one will ever want to give us anything now after what we've unleashed on them.

Didn't even watch them..... but they had to have been better than last year's entry...

What was that song called? Etcetera or something? WTF was that?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,006 ✭✭✭✭Flukey

How could they be better than last year's entry? They're Jedward. Niamh Kavanagh won the Eurovision before don't forget. What a sad day it will be for Ireland and Europe if those two muppets win it. Surely the people of Europe could not be that stupid. Let's hope not. They'll have to change the voting system to allow minus marks, just for Saturday night. We should then get loads of -12 votes.

Maybe, but all over Europe tonight anyone that was unfortunate and saw them won't be able to sleep or will be having nightmares. The demand on sleeping pills will rocket tomorrow. There will be a bomb made on pins and needles too. Come Saturday night there will be people all over Europe sticking them into their eyes and ears. Jedward voodoo dolls would be another use for them.
