    okay this may sound like i'm winding it up but.....
    i garden a lot and farm for a living and (in other words i should know),if you hold your breath while touching or walking through nettles you rarely get stung.bring on the piss take!

    It's only the edge of the leaf and stalk that have stingers you can hold the centre of the leaf without getting stung.
