    Yes to the dock leaf, ain't got a clue about holding nettles! I've a fear of them since I was young and got fairly badly stung by the little sh!ts.....:mad::mad::(

    Generally yea if you grab the leaves with vigour it defo stings less. Apparently Roman's used to jumped into thickets of nettles for fun. Mad Italian buggers.

    Exactly. Nettles have little hairs on the underside of their leaves.

    Brush (stroke) those hairs against you and it will sting. Clamp your fingers straight down on the hairs and they wont sting.

    (and yes, rub a dock leaf on the sting to lessen the pain...doesnt seem to work though...)
