Sup rent allowance/deposit/1st month

we cant get onto the housing list without doing it this way as our circumstances dont allow us to go about it anyu other way!:(

In order to quailfy for Rent Supplement, you have to have been in rented (or homeless)accomdation for 6 months and at the time have been able to afford it or have been accessed by your local authority as in need of housing. This is ususaly the genreal rule before Rent Supplement will be paid. On occasions the CWO may back date you the first month as you said that is the only way of you securing the accomadation, but usualy that is only if you would quailfy for Rent Supplement for it on the above grounds. Before you go ahead I would make sure that you qualify first, go down and ask for the forms and speak to your Local Community Welfare Officer before you to as I would not like for you to end up worse off.
