Mercedes Sprinter Fuel Filter Change

Hi guys have a 96 sprinter 412d and I took off the old fuel filter and fitted the new one. Started the van it started for 10 seconds then cut off. There was just one bolt holding the old filter took that off and just put the new one in place. Do I need to pump anything ?

Scratch that. Sorted just needed to fill the filter with diesel
