Cheers but I'm from the generation that remembers Arthur C Clarke's Mysterious World and the ball lightening that chased people.

So not a big fan of the sparky stuff...:(

    Wish we had the radar.

Unsure how this will play out tonight.

Band down the country and then a band seemingly strewn up the Irish sea, expected to pep up and get convective overnight.

perhaps some fun and games for some.

Some very heavy downpours here and the odd crack.

More lighting now, thunder is quite faded.

Has anyone seen the lighting? Is it Cloud to cloud or cloud to ground?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,322 ✭✭✭ian_m

Looks quite high to me and seems to be over NE county Dublin, or at sea.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,498 ✭✭✭Mothman

From what I've seen, mostly cloud/cloud but there are some CGs (Cloud/Ground) as well
