Gas Boiler - fill loop has no effect on water pressure

    Hi,

I have an Ideal Mini Boiler. I believe it is a closed system. It has a filling loop with black tap attached to it under the boiler. The water pressure has dropped below 1bar so I need to top it up.

However when I open the value it appears to have no effect - I don't hear any water coming in and water pressure doesn't change. I've taken off the black tap and turned the valve itself but it still doesn't work.

Any ideas I what I should do next?

    Dee

Have you taken off the Valve and opened it to see if any water is coming out.
Also some of the fill and loops have a mesh type filter in them which may be clogged.
