Was carrying 2 Litres of Milk and jar of carrots and couple of other things.

Bag broke as I was walking out to the car.

Everything fell out, the milk carton burst everywhere and the jar of carrots broke off the ground.

My question is, should i get my money back for the plastic bag and the items?

The bag was designed to carry my shopping and it didnt do so, so it wasn't fit for purpose.

Next time buy real carrots, you can pop them into a jar when you get home.

Yes, just don't try putting it into a plastic bag.

No. Frozen milk. Doesn't spill when you drop it.

I have noticed that plastic bags are sh*tty quality now, years ago they were wicked strong and free. Tesco bags are the worst offenders, good for nothing.

it was fit for purpose - it did work, just not for as long as you wanted. If it ripped when you picked it up at the checkout and everything broke, I would imagine they would have sorted you out.

If someone packed the bag for you I'd imagine you'd have a case.

If he had a case his jar of carrots wouldn't have fallen out and smashed.

You've got the right to remain silent!

Or ask the supermarket to replace broken items and i'd say they will!

I suppose you've the right to be paid back for the money you spent on the bag, but that's about it.

You should have gone back into the store, sometimes stores get inferior quality batches of bags so the manager at their discretion will replace the damaged goods.

Normal reply: The said bags are designed to carry an approximate weight. After that is up to the individual how they fill it, to the weight that reaches the stress point and in what way that causes the least amount to stress upon the material that leads to molecular breakdown and subsequent collateral damage.

AH reply: Its a light plastic bag for gods sake!
