hey all, well done with mock results:)
i've been wondering, ever since the mocks im feeling pretty lazy regards studying! I was really happy with my results (Bs in English, Spanish and Irish and As in everything else, all HL), but I feel like im running out of steam after the mocks! I am panicking now because its Easter, and I haven't opened a book since the mocks and I don't even know where to begin now! I promised myself after the mocks I wouldn't get lazy just because I was happy with my results but I did!
So heres my question, Does anyone feel the same? Just sick and tired of it all and cannot wait until the exams are over? How do I get motivated again?:confused:

I was very happy with my Pre results. The thing is, I don't feel any bit confident that I will be able to replicate them in the Junior Cert. I feel like I know nothing, and I am wondering how I did well in the Pres. Even in Maths, one of my strongest subjects, I don't feel like I know anything.

Hey - I've been feeling the same, except I haven't really been too bothered. I didn't really study a whole lot for the mocks and I did rather well, not spectacularly (4 A's and 5 B's), but I was happy with it. I started studying a bit on Monday and I'm not too bothered. I'm quite confident about English, Maths, Science and History and I've been doing a good bit of work continuously for French as it was my worst mock, so I'm not too worried, and everything else, well we'll see.

Considering this is the first time I've properly studied all year, and I'm pretty confident I'll have everything revised by June, now is a good time to start. Just stop thinking about it and do it, you'll feel loads better! :)

I wasn't over the moon with my results, made a lot of silly mistakes but they weren't the worst and I've time to do a good bit more preparation before the jc so I think I'll do well :)

German - 80% - actually the best in the class so I was happy enough with that (Aural was impossible!!! - The CD was all muffled and so hard to hear but I did well in written)
Music - 81% - so dissapointed, but I didn't really deserve much more because I did no study for it! When it came back it said I got 88% but I checked over it and realised it was added up wrong :(:(
English - 82% - Happy enough considering I did no study!
Irish - 82% - Happy enough - the mock we got was really hard!!
    Maths - 83% - Just 2% off an A!! Aargh!
Geography - 83% - Ok but I made some really stupid mistakes
French - 85% - Happy enough with that
Religion - 88% - I was actually so happy because after the exam I was freaking out because I realised I'd only done 3 questions in Q5 (I think that's the one) instead of 4
Science - 89% - Pretty happy because I did no study for it!
History - 92% - Happy! Especially because so many people in the class failed! haha :)
    CSPE - 95% - Happy :D

I'm delighted with my mocks :) All higher level, apart from Cspe.
    Cspe 83%
    Music - 86%
English 80% (hoping to bring it to an A - any tips?)
    Irish 73%
    Maths 89%
    French 85%
    Business 81%
Science 84% (one percent killed me.)
    Geography 90%
    History 96%(love history)

I decided to bring my knowledge to a test with mocks, so I didn't study.

English HL - 67% best in class.. I usually get at least 90% in questions at school, but the mock questions didn't suit me. B at the real thing will satisfy me.

Maths OL - 70% I picked OL as I hate Algebra. Best in class. I really can't study for maths so don't expect a big change in real thing

German HL - 76% I have some kind of easiness with that subject, good listening and overall knowledge, but poor writing. The mock aural was bad quality so it dropped me a bit.

Geo HL - 80% Teachers pet.. I think i'll go for an A to leave a good memory.

History HL -78% I didn't know anything about Treaty of Versailles and League of Nations so that dropped me down. If questions suit me an A is possible.

TEC HL 70% Don't really care, not doing it next year.

R.E HL - 75% I basicly had no teacher for 2,5 year. The new one did the course in 3 weeks. Not much more you can expect.

Science HL 47% My teacher is a joke, and I have no head for the subject so I just want to scrape by..

CSPE CL 78% Again, this is a joke of a subject, I just have an understanding teacher.

    Now last, most importantly.

Business HL - 57% . I'm bad on accounts I know, but was hoping for something more. I also wanted to do economics and b.s for leaving, but the way it worked out is i can do neither(not because of result) and had to change to ag. science:mad::mad::mad: . I wanted to go on and do this in university, but now I am ... Not in the best position.

As you can see I am good in subjects that require writing, but bad at those that require much thinking. It's highly unusual as I have Engineers, IT people, chemistry teacher etc. in my family.

Also I have a terrible class, someone always suspended or lately expulted so it's hard to learn.

Why can't you study for Maths?

It's not going into my head at all. I did out all exam questions, looked for solutions even got grinds from my dad and it's all gone. What I know I have learned in 1st year. I can do everything else fine, even without a calculator, but when it comes to all these Xs and Ys i'm down..
