No. Would be a riot if that happened. We live in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Long live the Union. :)

I know it's quite off topic, but the point is still there. Probably about flags................in general...............What they stand for, etc.

As a proud Irishman - I agree. Now if we only we could come up with a way of somehow seperating the North from Ireland, and gluing it permanently to the rest of the UK.

Maybe the wedding is an exception, but IMHO national flags should be treated with respect and used sparing, not all over the place. Sorting offices aren't the most obvious place to hang flags. I doubt the sorting office in Belfast is bedecked with union flags, even today.

That's a knowingly tenuous link on your part, just to post some Bill Hicks, I approve.

Banning a flag is about as stupid as saluting one, imo.

The British and Irish volunteers give us the right to celebrate being in the United Kingdom. Why knock it? Enjoy it and embrace it. :)

Maybe you and your friends should go to the Falls Road or down to Crossmaglen and try flying the Butcher's Apron there ;).

ROYAL Mail bosses have banned the Union Flag from Scots sorting offices ahead of the royal wedding. Post office bosses don't want the British flag displayed because they fear it might cause trouble over its link to Rangers.

Shouldn't the same be applied to the north ?

    Who cares?

I ain't British, as its being rammed down our throats from all sides of the media so its pretty hard to avoid (even though I am doing a good job)

plus I am not enjoying it as I don't give a toss about the British\German royal family

now off you go Keith with your white hood and burning cross

Some people on here are though. I think its been a wonderful day for everyone to celebrate. Soon to be King William has got married and it seems to have brought the UK together and communities. :)

The Union Jack won't be flying for long in any part of Scotland judging by the trends towards the SNP.
