Bachelor of Science (Honours) Construction-Facilities & Energy Management

    Hi Guys,

    I am just wondering if anyone knows anything about this coarse. My son has graduated from Waterford IT in construction science (Quantity Surveyor) (I think). He is now looking at doing this "Bachelor of Science (Honours) Construction-Facilities & Energy Management" in Carlow. I am wondering if there is any prospect of a job with this or is there any better options for him. Info and help from WIT is not the best and so I thougth it would be worth asking people with real experience. Thanks in advance for any help.

    If I was starting out with a construction / property related degree and had the opportunity and time to re-qualify, I'd be getting out of construction altogether.

    Even in terms of renewable energy (which is everyone in constructions last hope) - imo this is about to be over-saturated with the exception of the mech/electrical in genuine research and development.

    Just my opinion...

    I am just finishing an honours degree in Quantity Surveying. Any one who I know who wants to continue education is going on and doing a masters in the course, or else going into a renewable energy course
