WARNING: Out-of-date passport application forms still in Garda Stns and Libraries

    Got two passport application forms yesterday, one from the local library and one from the local Garda stations. Both had out-of-date information and would have resulted in my application being sent back if it wasn't for a third party informing me purely by chance.

    Key points: 4 photographs now needed (instead of 2), two of which must be witnessed.

    Pricing is all wrong and has completely changed. Passport Express is now cheaper.

    This is very poor show IMO by the Dept of Foreign Affairs.

    From memory the Passport Office sends out new stock to Garda HQ and I imagine they would have accompanied this with a notice saying old forms need to be removed from stations.

    Not sure about libraries but I'd say it's along similar lines.

    Hope you mentioned it to both of them to avoid the next person getting caught out.
