In a submarine being depth charged for hours and then ended up at the bottom of the ocean with slow flooding and the air becoming poisonous would be pretty ****ty way to go

What do you think the worst way is to die?

I also heard dying in your sleep of old age is one of the most painful ways

I thought this would be the nicest way to die.

Belly cut open, guts yanked out, stomach acid thrown in your face, then hung by your own large intestine while someone tickles your foot with a feather and someone else does fingernails on a blackboard!

Off topic- Best way to die: Death by Snu Snu

I hope it's just the FEAR but I'm seriously scarred to fly after reading that.
Can you imagine going through all of that.
I wouldn't wish that on anyone.
It's far worse than being buried alive I think.

seriously though, how many major air disasters have aer lingus or ryanair been in?

Okay, there is a (very small) risk that could happen, but there are so many other risks in your life of being killed not just air travel. If you were to try avoiding these risks you wouldnt be leaving your house!

I am travelling to amsterdam to see family this year for holidays and i am doing it the long way! (boat and train to london, boat and train to hook of holland, train to amsterdam) but im not taking that option over air transport because of fear its because.i want to make the most of the holiday, including the travel!

If someone forced a towel down your throat. All the way. Except that they’d hold onto a little bit at the end. When your stomach starts to digest the towel, they pull it out. Taking your stomach lining with it.

Most people probably take about a week to die. It’s very painful.

Bleed to death or terminal illness.
Bleeding to death would be fairly OK I'd reckon. Slow drop off into coma. Lack of oxygen would likely give you euphoria too.

Drowning would be relatively easy too. Again lack of oxygen may make you feel drunk. Burning would be of an magnitude worse. If you didn't succumb quickly to the smoke inhalation you would feel your own bodyfat boil. Horrendous.

Yep and on top of that in high adrenaline situations time slows right down for people. Seconds feel like minutes and minutes like hours. The most horrible psychological trauma you could imagine.

Being eaten alive is the worst thing I could think of.

I noticed this on that page:

"Other symptoms include profuse sweating, pinprick pupils, the sudden entrance into impotence for men, neck stiffness, and elevation of blood pressure and heart rate."

I think I had that syndrome every weekend throughout the 90s?

Is there a good way to die?

I know the stock answer is while piledriving a buxom 19 year old blonde supermodel with jumbo kegs into the bed, but seriously?

Death by a Thousand Cuts. (don't) see google images if you don't know what it is, or imagine a few paper cuts.

Having severe burns to most of your body and living for only a few but extremely painful days in hospital.

Being torn in 2 and lying on the ground scooping up your organs. (There is a story and video of an Asian cop who was cut in half in an accident but he survived........albeit he's a few inches shorter now :pac:)

Self-Immolation. Setting yourself on fire and running about as you cook isn't one of the more pleasant ways to go, I'm sure.

Die **** as you're wearing a bra & stockings with a machine pump stuck up your arse (Another true story that happened to a middle-aged guy, oh the shame!)

Oxygen starvation, pneumonia, rapid blood loss, rapid heart failure that sorta thing I'd imagine.

Being kicked to death by a bunch of teenagers wearing tracksuits tucked into their socks while a bunch of similarly attired teenage girls laugh. Just before I die one of the teenagers would urinate on me. Another teenager would film this happening on his or her phone so he or she could later upload the video to YouTube.

    ..............

    ....which reminds me....

"When he was 12, his father died a slow and agonising death after falling into a cauldron of boiling water at the gasworks where he was a foreman. The East Midlands Gas Board refused to compensate the family because Arthur Blunkett had been working beyond the normal retirement age."

....he died a month after falling in, afaik.

I'm suprised no one has mentioned Erotic asphyxiation, I remember reading this had happened to David Carradine. Of course it would only happen to someone who practices this kind of thing but hypothetically it would be the worst and most embarrasing way to die imo. It would be really embarressing thinking in your final monents that someone will find you in the most perverted situation imaginable, then you would be at butt end (no pun intended) of jokes for years to come by people who hated you.

Though you could just leave a letter explaining that you lost the will to live and decided to end it all while having a ****. Then instruct the person reading the letter to help you down and call an ambulance straight away saying that you changed your mind and you want to live. Then tell them to dress you up properly and hide any paraphernalia. Remind them to call an ambulance!:pac:

Wouldnt like to be stoned to death or have a short drop hanging.

For me the absolute worst way to go would be due to some terminal illness like say Cancer, where you knew for a long time you were going to die and spent your last few months/weeks suffering physically as well as mentally.

    That or burned to death.

And then re-run the clip from the bogs in mucky d's of the transsexual they had got fired for

I don't like the idea of drowning, but people say that it's supposed to be quite peaceful (how anyone knows this, I don't know). I think the worst would have to be being buried alive. The vivid description of the plane crash is pretty bad, but I still think being buried alive would be worse. So claustrophobic, the panic, the complete helplessness, the silence as the time just ticks away. That strikes more fear into me than a plane crash.

In bed, unable to move and being forced to listen to hours of cliff Richard or Daniel O'Donnell.

Now that would be a slow and painful death
