No I didn't, but I did take the time to explain about what happened to my kids and the part their great grandfather played in that weekend and easter lilies were placed on his grave.

No; i don't like the way Sinn Fein has hijacked the symbol and it seems to me they are only sold to fundraise for Sinn Fein

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Sinn Féin didn't hijack anything. They didn't force any other political party to not sell them. WP sells them also. You can buy a metal pin if you don't want to buy one from a party. It will last you a life-time.

You're lying Keith. Everyone on AH knows that you were wearing an Easter-Lily. Some come clean about it, and stop deceiving us. We don't appreciate it at all.

We got a present of a mahoosive vase of giant lilies, and I've been dying of hay fever in my house ever since!

Not relevant, I just needed a rant. Eyes soooo itchy.

Spelled out 1916 in Lillies for my garden and had a lilly tattooed inbetween my tri-colour and celtic tattoos. I also listened to Lily Allen's greatest hits and purchased an audience with Lily Savage.

I only wear the poppy for our volunteers. But going by this poll, it seems the easter lily isn't very popular.

Not wearing it doesn't mean you don't support the 'cause'. I never wear one but I still support the cause if that makes sense....

I'd say its more to do with the lack of education/promotion. The Poppy is everywhere in Britian (not sure about NI) . I dont think I have ever seen the Lilly sold or promoted here.

I only know of them through dlofnep's sig, and the signs advertising the Sinn Fein commemorative march by my house.

I didn't see them being sold anywhere. I never really knew anyone wore one until this thread appeared to be honest.

If you didn't also arrange a night out in Lillie's Bordello, you're no patriot. :-/
