IPhone Only MMS over 3G and not Wi-Fi?

Hi All, Running the IPhone 3GS ios 4.3.1 (unlocked by Apple) and jailbroken. Having the weirdest prob - it will not allow me send an MMS unless I'm connected to the 3GS i.e. when I'm just connected to Wi-Fi at home, when sending an MMS it gets to about 90% and fails. Anyone have any ideas?

No phone can send an MMS by Wifi. The technical explanation is that the server required to send the MMS is only accessible over the networks data links. Hence why Vodafone MMS settings won't work on a Meteor phone etc.

Also, how could they charge you if you send by Wifi?
