Should be two great games today. I would have to fancy Donegal who have been impressive in the League, but Laois did turn them over in the last game. I think Cork will take Dublin, will be interesting to see Dublin play without Alan Brogan but Bernard can be pretty effective too!

Anybody know of a stream available outside of Ireland, as TG4 player won't work?

Good idea to make a day of it... Heard Aslan in the background doing soundcheck while Con Murphy was reporting from there, and they sounded AMAZING..

I think there are too many injuries for Cork to beat Dubs today. Walsh, O Neill, Kerrigan out and Cadogen suspended. It'll be tight tho. Some media reading into the league game between them a bit too much. There's no way they'll but 3 goals past Cork this time. I hope...

Cracker of a penalty alright. He's a top class forward. It wasn't a penalty in the first place imo tho.

defences very lax, not much championship intensity. Can see that ff line working for dublin later on this year.

Did you see the bust up at HT ?

Not sure who exactly was involved but some Cork lad looked like he was trying to upset Diarmuid Connolly with a few nudges. Not sure which Dub got involved but he fairly laid a few into the Cork lad!

What were the Dubs up to at half-time ganging up trying to start a fight?

Fcukin disgraceful and I make no defence of Shields for throwing punches. Both teams just get on with the game and make your point on the pitch. There's kids watching that FFS.

    No it wasn't...

The rule is, side to side, both feet on the ground, shoulder to shoulder. He got it in the ribs, not side to side...

To be fair Shields and Connolly were nudging on the way out, then Philly McMahon arrived in with a shoulder for Shields, who pushed him back. Few digs from either player but nothing too serious....no doubt Shields would take him given his boxing background - I think McMahon picked on the wrong guy!!

Take off your blue tinted glasses FFS!!!!

For a boxer, Shields didnt look to confident dodgy and weaving. Also didnt get a decent punch off!

I have a young child and dont mind scuffles like that. When he is old enough to understand I can simply highlight it as an example of what not to get involved in, but I will explain that it happens sometimes in the heat of the moment.

The problem with violence on tv or sport (or cheating in sport), isnt so much as it happens on front of children, its that parents dont educate their children on how to learn from the wrongdoings of "idols".

Wasnt really a surprise that I called this one. .

Will be very interesting to see if Dubs have learned from previous heartaches, they have shown good character so far in this league. They are going to need to dig deep after letter that lead slip against such a top team.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,306 ✭✭✭✭Drumpot

Dont mind if Dubs lose this once they learn from the pressures of a final and progress in the Champo. Nobody wants to take the shot to try for an equaliser!

Alas, it looks like Dublins composure is dead and gone, its with Oleary in the grave. :(

Hopefully Quinns last game for Dublin. Shockingly bad free's.

And so, we throw this game away once again...after a comfortable 5 point lead 55 mins in. Better luck next year lads!
