Ah yeah, that was in T3 though. AFAIR, at the end of T2, they didnt know that. They thought they had ended it all.

    (i can be a pedantic bastard :) )

it was put back, by the events of the first movie.

The first movie didnt affect Judgement day, it was just about the T-800 trying to kill Sarah Connor.

Just checked - almost certain TSCC set the April 2011 date - Cameron gives that date to Sarah.

In T3, the date is set in 2004. I don't think there was a change in dates from T1 to T2.

Yep. James Cameron has said as far as he's concerned the Terminator timeline stops at T2 and the T-800s sacrifice ended the coming of Judgement Day (which was scheduled for August 29, 1997).

T3, Terminator Salvation and the Sarah Connor Chronicles muck around with the timelines even more. The April 21 2011 date was mentioned in the TV show afair.

Wasn't it 1996 or something?

"3 billion human lives ended on August 29th, 1997"

That was the original date. I never watched the series and it's been years since I seen T3 (must pick it up if it's cheap)

T2 is one of my favourite films. I remember renting it out and doing the double vhs recording so I could have it forever :D Used to watch it religously. Picked it up on bluray a few months ago, and it's still sat on the shelf in the plastic. Must break it out again for a watch some weekend.

Must try and get T1 as all I have are 2 & 4.

Love T2. My parents gave me a Terminator & T2 box set when I was younger and must have watched it every day for about a year!!

I wished I could have been John Connor when I was a kid. Free money from the ATM, Motorbikes, Badass!!

My favourite scene has to be when Arnie kicks the office desk through the window and opens up on the LAPD with a Gatling gun!! (kills 0.0):D

Remember watching the making of that movie and they blew up an actual office building when the cyberdine building was blown up! Awsome!!

That was one of the potentially very awesome things about the TV show. They were possibly going to be following the timeline right up to judgement day.

Damn you Fox, damn you all over again !

A lot of women look at me as if I'm a retard when I say that the ending of Terminator 2 was the only scene that ever made me blub. Women are dead inside..........dead I tell you!

When this came out in the summer of 1991 i was 13 years old and went to see it in the cinema. I went with about a fiver in my pocket and met my friends outside who all had big bags of sweets, drinks and crisps and laughed at me with just a bag of tayto to my name. Anyway when they went to pay, the price had gone up about a pound and since they spent all their money on goodies and thought it was 4 pounds to get in they had no choice but to stand outside (they wouldn't agree on a couple of them going in) while i went in on my own and gave them a big wave and a cheesy grin. The cinema was mostly empty which i love, and i still say to this day that its the greatest film experience i ever had at the pictures, a truly fantastic film with state of the art special effects and stunning set pieces.

The Champ did nothing for you? What about Kong's last stand (1933 version or 2005 version)?

What about Tarka The Otter? I still cannot bring myself to watch that film to the end after seeing it in full once. The book is the same for me.

I don't think I have ever seen all of that movie. But I remember my mother watching it on T.V when I was about 6 or so and at the end when the young lad was crying, I was roaring as well. :(

But anyway, back to talking about explosions and machines and all that manly stuff. :D

I remember him saying he wanted to do a T3, but he wasn't available to do it for the studio's iron-clad summer 2003 release. They managed to wrestle away the intellectual property from him and just got their own guy to do it.

I would love for him to go back and do another Terminator...just not another chase film since it's been done/parodied in T3 to death :pac:

    There would be no
Point! Arnie made that film iconic nobody
Can replace that as terminator 3 is evidence
    Of that!!

God damn autocorrect on iPhone doh

What was cool about the first 2 terminators was that they didn't rely much on CGI but on clever camera trickery, l
like how the scene at 0:59 here is not a mirror but 2 people mimicking each other exactly (Linda Hamilton has a twin sister)

T2 is complete rubbish. Boring, cardboard characters, lousy action scenes, crap special effects etc...
T3 is the best of the 4 and one of the best Sci-fi movies ever made. Actually it is the best Sci Fi movie ever made.

I actually had an urge to report that post. I just don't have any idea what to say in response. I'm assuming he's trolling unless he's the first person to actually say that T3 is the best sci-fi ever.

The opening sequence of T2 is actually about a world without internet, they couldn't google how to shutdown skynet. :D

Hey, horses for courses and all that. I'm glad someone likes that film, even if I didn't!

I badly want to quote some Faith+1 lyrics but they're so unsuitable! Actually...

23 days late for aprils fools.

T3 has a few decent moments, the crane/truck chase and the end is pertty ballsy for a summer blockbuster, but its nowhere near the best of the Terminator movies, thats the first one.
