When I was about 10 I was out collecting lost golfballs at a golf course. Some golfers came so I hid and sat down. Then a honey bee landed on my hand and stung me. Then I noticed I was sitting beside a nest and they attacked. I got stung about 8 times and they climbed down my clothes and even chased me down the field as I tried to flee.

Scarred for life now I hate wasps and honey bees. Normal bee's aren't too bad lol

I've been stung twice, so wasps and bees have me running away shrieking

My family thought I was insane until they saw one day just how much I was being followed by one without any running away :rolleyes:

I've no problem with Wasps. I've been stung twice but probably because the wasp felt threatened.

I've found that if I leave them alone they leave me alone. Can't we all just get along....

Wasps actually seek out and get rid of cockroaches :)

I always thought they were one of those useless animals like flies!

The bee was just protecting the nest, bee careful next time. Wasps however will attack you just for existing. We need bees for agriculture so do bee easy on them ;) but do continue with the genocide against wasps! :)

Actually wasps are my only phobia. I'm not as bad now I'm just uncomfortable around them but even in my early teens I'd freak out if one came near me.

What is the purpose of these black and yellow f*ckers ?? Do they do anything productive ?? I'm pretty confident they don't pollenate or anything so what do they do ?

    Some do pollinate.

Do they have to have a use? Does everything that doesn't have an immediate and positive impact on your life not deserve to live??

Hate is a bit of a strong word, the only animals I would hate would be certain humans who could be described as "evil".
Wasps? Don't touch them and they won't touch you. :)

If you read my post again you will see I did not at any stage promote killing them . Im asking do they do anything positive because all they do is annoy me . I was looking for information on them

I don't mind bees because at least they give you a warning buzzz. Wasps are sneaky and stealthy and just suddenly APPEAR right at your jam sandwich...
Still I hate to kill them, it's not a fair fight really after the initial shock.

Yea, they do. They make more wasps, which is very positive if you are a wasp, pretty much the same as all the other animals and plants on the planet. :D

If your at the stage where your defending insects... how will you survive when you may end up drowning a fly as you wash lettuce etc for your vegetarian feasts :D

Wasps tormented me as a child  i still seek revenge on them to this day.

Wasps are natures little reminder to mankind that we not king dick on this planet despite our notions to the contrary.

Oh and as for bees we'll see how we get in without them if the Colony Collapse Syndrome continues at the pace it is currently happening at.
