    All the time, everytime... Any pubs/clubs have to shut shop from midnight.

    last drinks during the week are half 11 anyway monday-thursday and "meant" to be out by 12 so i dont see there been much of a difference unless they have a late license.

    What I can NEVER understand is, why the hell do they enforce licensing laws a CLOSING times? Why not SERVING times?

    IE: Why can't they say "A licensed premises can only serve alcohol during these hours, but they can remain open for any other business whenever the f*ck they want to?"

    It's not just about drink. I'd be happy to go to a nightclub and stop drinking at midnight or go to one tomorrow and not drink at all. Likewise I'd be happy to stop drinking at 2:30, what I don't get is why we have to actually leave the building at that time as well.

    Surely serving alcohol and having a place open for people are two separate issues? :confused:

    Of course they can. Its just people looking for something else to moan about. Havent you noticed that the people on Boards (well more specifically After Hours) are never happy unless they're moaning and complaining about anything and everything.
