PC internet down, wireless ok ??

I'm with Vodafone, haven't had any problems till yesterday/today. The PC is connecting but I cannot bring up any sites or get emails working. the wireless connections to laptops is working ok. Phoned Help Desk and he did a few checks, pinged, etc. but says I'm connected. Anyone got any ideas ?

first thing i'd do is reboot the router and the pc.

thats been done a few times. just to add that I can get in to Norton site through the shortcuts and it updates itself

If you can ping and traceroute webpages then it's most likely your browser that's acting up.
Check the connection settings for your browser.
