I've played around 10 games, all I keep getting is Underpass and Wasteland.

I especially love when people block a door as the team is already spawntrapped, giving away triple kills is such a nice thing to do for the other team.

Relatively new to the game but not sure about the stackable killstreaks. While necessary when going for a nuke, the progression from something like a predator through to an ac130 is made a bit too simple using things that dont take that much skill, if any. Definitely rewards camping for powerful killstreaks a bit better than black ops I feel or at least more quickly.

I find it the opposite, someone who gets pred/harrier then hangs around looking for the harrier to get a chopper or ac-130 is no different than someone sitting in a corner with a motion sensor trying to get a chopper gunner in blops, its a much campier game than mw2 by far. people are way quicker to shoot down harriers in mw2 as well, on a ground war you'll be lucky if they get the 4 kills needed for an ac-130

Pretty sure the majority love Wasteland what with it being a real chance for getting a nuke. I've never put in a really good score on the map, even going back to COD2 so my disdain for it stems from that :D

Surprised a few people when I mentioned the fact it was in cod2 over the weekend, here's a vid -

It's been said before but god damn commando. I've noticed that it's use has dropped off a good bit but my god, the sudden jump of your opponent across the map to knife you in the face!

Not over-exaggerating here but it must be 8 or even 9 out of every 10 deaths per say are from those using commando. The game is littered with them, always has.. always will be.

Yes but if someones camping in a corner like a bitch, they have to wait for people to come by and deal with those who already know you're in the vicinity. You dont get the chance to pull out a laptop and help you on your way to a chopper gunner/gunship. Like 1 kill from a predator is likely and at least 2 is a reasonable expectation from a harrier as far as i can tell so far. On top of that the AC 130 & chopper seem more powerful than the gunship & gunner of Blops. The chopper gunner in Black ops would be very lucky to get 4 kills in ground war also and thats a 9 killstreak. Anyways, my point wasn't which was a campier game. It was about which rewards camping better. If only killstreak requirements could fluctuate in game depending on distance traveled. :D

Commando actually made me try the default layout again but back with tactical.

I never realised how bad it was until the last few nights, switching between blops and MW2 is unreal, you notice just how much they got wrong in MW2. Commando is absolutely ridiculous

In Blops commando is just the regular knifing action :pac:

really though it is ludicrous, nothing worse than someone teleporting through a shotgun blast, I was trying to snipe a guy one night on the helipad of terminal as he was m/l/c'ing around the map, and I swear to god he stabbed a teammate that must have been a good 8 feet away from him, just darted into him like The Flash or something, crazy. if MW2 had no commando, no danger close and scavenger/oma didnt replenish tubes it'd be perfect imo

I have noticed a huge resurgence in people trying to pull off 360 noscope final kills in S&D on PS3. Very irritating. <_<

There amazing, but they encourage so many no-hopers :(

The past few days it's been something like this.

    40% - Wasteland
    40% - Underpass
10% -The Vacant like map, except bigger and whose names escapes me yet again :rolleyes

    10% - the rest

    Rough percentages of course :pac:

I already bloody damn hate Underpass and Wasteland from the first time I played them, so the past few days of playing these maps over and over again has been an unpleasant experience.

Add this ******y quickscoping to the list and I totally agree!

Is it me or is the average age of a MW2 player online with a mic under the age of 13? I started playing mw2 again this weekend after 2 months playing other fps,s and it seems anyone I hear online in MW2 has got to be under 13! Other games like battlefield or MOH most folk sound like their at some bit of a mature age (21+) and play accordingly.

Anyone notice that there is no music in the game now for some reason? Like when the match is in the finishing mins and the music used to play for an audio queue / bit of tension? Can seem to hear it anymore? Wouldnt be surprised if activision took it out to make the game less exciting sounding seeing as thats one of the main gripes with BOPS.

Oh and something which really bugged me but what the hell is up with the lobbies!? Waiting ages to get a game most times, there were even a few times where it was full but we had to wait a good 5 mins before we played

Cant say I've noticed no music, was playing on xbox the last few nights and its still there in S&D anyway in the final moments.

I've said it a million times but its the community, not the game thats the biggest problem with MW2.

I played a few games of Halo Reach the other night online, dont really like it tbh it feels a bit antiquated (no ADS in a first person shooter?!) and the button mapping on the controller is just wrong and you cant change it to one that feels comfortable after playing cod for so long, but christ, the average age of people playing that seems to be about 8 from the kids in the lobbies I was in.

True, the game in a sense is perfect, and the b*stards that exploit it are the problem. If there were no stats in CoD, there would probably be no campers, hackers, noobtubers etc.

One fella on my team the last day, when i was playing with randoms, had hacked his gamertag to "zzirGrizz". Needless to say, he was camping in a corner OMA noobtubing for the whole game.

Well we can expect a game to be "perfect" , MW2 isnt perfect.. it certainly has one or two flaws (tubes, commando , QS etc) but just cause something HAS flaws doesnt mean you need to exploit them the whole time, it just makes people who do utter douches.

Then again I suppose it wouldnt be unreasonable to expect IW to have addressed flaws after they become apparent. I still cant fathom why they didnt realize the mistake that was commando and nerf it or realize the mistake that was OMA and add restrictions to it but then again it shows the developers after support is shocking bad.

Had a taste for some MW2 this morning, having played BLOPS pretty much exclusively since it launched. I had forgotten how much of a problem noobtubes were. Every second death was from one and theres the constant sound of them going off throughout the match. Commando is also a slight problem, but no where near as bad as the noobtubers.

It really depends on the gametype tbh, ground wars are noobtube central, play s&d or Headquarters pro or something tactical and you rarely die by the tube.

Was playing Dom on Carnival the other day and my first 6 (6 ffs!) deaths were caused by noobtubes/thumpers and DC.

Also, I know loads of people don't play the objective in Dom but me running to B, capturing it and having to run back to cap A/C because my useless teammates aren't interested in a free 150 points for doing sod-all is annoying as hell. I mean, why wouldn't you take 150 free points?
