Bored out of my tree and feelin mucky for the last week waitin for work... So I threw on the pimpin tailormade slacks, shirt and tie this morning for my first class.

Afterwards, went to my usual street restaurant, one of the guys parks my bike for me.. Then I get served before everyone, led to a nice seat, everyone really nice to me. End up paying half what I usually do aswell.
Come back to where I'm staying, all the staff way more friendly than usual.. Fallin' over each other to deal with me.
Meet a few other people, full of questions about what I'm doin here.

So yea, go pimp yourself out and get treated like a king for the day.

The story is about how good it feels wearing a suit and how differently people treated me today because of it. Hardly a serious thread.

    Tailor-made clothes... Dirt cheap.
The "restaurant".. Cheapest possible. $2 including a drink.
The "hotel".. A $6 six bed dorm.

The life of luxury phasers.

I have a suit that I have only worn on a few occasions, for all I know it may be ill fitting.
Perhaps we could put on our suits and meet up sometime Ads by google, we could look at briefcases and also have a power lunch.

I'll only meet if we can compare business cards. I just picked mine up from the printers yesterday.. The colouring is bone and the lettering is something called Silian Rail.

Brb, I have to go return some videotapes.

    Oh, can I come?

I'll bring a folder, and look serious, while pointing at the piece of paper in my folder.

I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release... of their 1980 album Duke.
Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. It was too artsy, too intellectual.

It was on Duke where Phil Collins' presence became more apparent.
I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums

How much does a tailor suit cost around now?

    Might invest in one.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,933 ✭✭✭holystungun9

I wonder is there any correlation between how you were treated because of your suit and how I am treated when I wear my white tracksuit, celtic jersey and my 'no to foreign games' sign.

In the old days everyone wore a suit, and as a result everyone looked so smart and classy, even the poor people. I wish it was acceptable these days to wear a suit all the time. But then again, suits are really uncomfortable...
