Has anybody ever ran on top of buildings in Dublin? Maybe as part of an adventure race or a charity event...? I'm looking for unusual locations where you would not normally expect people to run...Any suggestions greatly received!

I was thinking the same thing recently (except in Cork not Dubland)
It was prompted from a youtube video of the race to the top of the Empire state building posted here.

Given that Cork County hall/ Elysian in Cork are the tallest buildings in the country, there might be a possibility of a double. They are not that tall - only 14 or 15 storeys.

One potential race could be a race up and down one of them, run to the other (perhaps 2 miles) then up to the top of the second.

Or a double to the top of the county hall- time trial style, best two time of three attempts.

Might attract a few nutters who want to give their quads a hammering.

Be careful what you wish for.

I've done a stair climb. The 42 Stories Corning Tower in Albany. The most sickening 6 minutes of my life. Never EVER again.

Forget about quad damage, it took three days for my respiratory tract to recover. Dry air conditioned air is not for running in!
