Can I point out that SW and Revenue are actually doing checks on this kind of thing?
As an accountant I used to do alot of work from home (on top of my PAYE job) and as such was registered for VAT, Income Tax etc etc
I ceased registration for VAT & Income tax about 3 years ago when I passed all my clients on to another accountant as I had too much going on at home and I was starting to almost miss deadlines

Anyway, low & behold I had a visit yesterday from Revenue & SW (together as in there were 2 of them travelling together in same car etc etc)

They wanted to confirm that I wasn't doing nixers as my JSB has just expired and I'm not entitled to JSA they were curious as to what I was living on (answer = OH's wages)

They went through the filing cabinet in my office (box room set up as an office since I got the house)
They also wanted to know why there was a 2011 car parked in my driveway (its my sisters she was in the sitting room with my niece)

I've nothing to hide
(though I admit i was MORTIFIED by the pile of laundry in the upstairs landing (was sorting out clothes for charity):(

The moral of the story.... OP relax its not your concern the authorities are dealing with it!

One off nixers now and then- I've no problem with.

People working 9-5 for cash, claiming SW and benefits and moaning they barely have enough to get by deserve to be beaten with their wallets. I overheard a guy recently gettin 650 cash in hand a week, doing nixers 2 nights a week but also getting SW & Benefits.

THAT p!sses me off.

So you know of exactly 31 people that are dole/tax cheats?? what a coincidence!!!! and whats stopping you from doing it now??? or have you april set aside for people who dont drive with tax and insurance??? Maybe in june you could report 30 people that are illegally fishing without a licence....you are without a doubt a gimp of the highest order...and i hate to burst your bubble but our country wont be recovering for a very very very long time fraud cheats or not..

Cheats need to be outed regardless. Whether it saves the country or not, they should be locked up
