Anyone betting this week? Im worn out from the masters myself, but at least tiger gave me some real hope for a short time last sunday.
First pick goes to spencer levin 35/1. Ive backed him a few times this year already, so il give him another shot.
Also going for rock and jaidee in malaysia!
I honestly didnt put a whole lot of time into these picks, about 60 seconds tbh!:pac::pac::pac::pac:

Louis Oosthuizen looks a good price and trading opportunity to me in Europe. Good friend Schwartzel's success will give him the appetite for another victory and his driving ability stands out for such a short course. He can over power it.

In Texas Bo Van Pelt is my headline pick. Streaky player who's moved up a few levels in last year or 2 and again, he is long and straight off the tee so will have an advantage with the course approximately 7,500 yards. Decent performance here last year.

Im pretty sure insurebet 5 places means if you a golfer to win with the insure bet odds if he does'nt win but finishes in the 1st 5 you get your money bac but if u bet 5 places market if he finishes in the 1st 5 places you win at the odds.

After reading the racing post l went with T Jaidee at 25/1 e/w

And in America Chad Champbell 45/1 e/w

I would of probably of done Jaidee anyway.

It doesn't play to it's maximum yardage each round.

Ryan palmer & jimmy walker in texas and one more chance for Johan edfors in Malaysia

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 510 ✭✭✭Fursttimer

Local resident Jimmy Walker (46's) will be in contention this week.

Garett Willis (200/1) is woefully out of form but this is his favourite event on tour and he played very well on this course last year.

Scott Verplank (60's) plays well in his native Texas.

Kevin Sutherland (170's). Plays well in Texas.

Marc Leishman (36's) is my main pick this week.

    Good luck :)

Forgot to add Angel Cabrera at 46's

    :D

The whole that destroyed Kevin Na also unravelled walker who shot a 7. Not out of it but will need to rip the place up today.

That was some hole with Na!

Does anyone know what Rory Mcilroy was trading at after round 1? I think he was 10.0 ish but not sure?

He's 7/5 now I've laid him. I expect him to go on and win but the course is there with good scores on offer. If he misses a few putts tomorrow a handful of players will surpass him imo. Just far too short with 2 days to go!!

and to answer your question I think he was ~ 8s with bookmakers and ~10.0 on betfair (i think)

I got a few quid laying McIlroy this week and Schwartsel. An interesting stat for those who like to lay (thats the only method i use).Immelman has gone 3 years without a win,Cabrera 2 years and Mickelson just about 1 year since winning the masters,if you laid all 3 you would have won approx 240 bets and only lost 1 when Mickelson won a couple of weeks ago.Are we going to get rich laying Schwartsel? Pat Perez is my only possible loser in the U S tonight as the 10 i laid are out of it.Heres hoping he doesnt come good.

    I'm hoping he does :D

    I'm on him at 130's.

You'll be glad to know though, that from 17 attempts of entering the final round within 5 of the lead, he's never won! He's only shot under 70 on three of those occasions too.

However, in recent years the majority of his excellent final rounds has come in Texas :)
