Don't like the Countryman at all. A Cooper or a Clubman yes please, but not the Countryman.

    Old mini.

Just look at the difference is size between the two. Couldn't be more different.

True, the Countryman's miles away from the original Mini in terms of size, but the Rocketman coming shortly is nearly the same size as the original Mini.

People also forget that the last few production years of the classic Mini wouldn't have been possible without BMW's input and funding. There's a tendancy to accuse BMW of being evil when it comes to the MINI brand, but heritage is a huge asset for them and as someone who has owned both old and new, there's more of similarity between them then there is differences between them.

Good news too that the WRC car won it's first outing.

Strange thing is I can't see Kris Meeke or Paul Nagle's name on the car....

Afaik they had to use the countryman to give the car a proper footprint for the four wheel drive system. I remember seeing a standard shape mini rallycar over in prodrive two years ago that they had been testing.

I'm looking forward to seeing this car in the flesh, mini have a great heritage in rallying and hopefully this will continue the trend.
