Never smoked, never will. Its too expensive and it gets in the way of everything, always having to drop what you're doing to go have a fag. Then theres the whole cancer thing

Smoking brings me closer to God. And makes me look cool.

    Benson ftw

Never smoked and never plan on it. The smell off smokers is enough to churn my stomach. Nothing worse than when some smoke happy asshole sits beside you on the bus a 8am reeking of smoke. Its 8am for ****s sake, did you really have to smoke your ****ing head off this early? The stale, pungent, tangy smell of smoke is jsut ****ing vile. I wonder if smokers knew how god awful they smell would they quit?
How inconsiderate of those dirty, filthy (possibly rapey??)scumbags, can't those sickos sense by the vague aura of smugness that permeates the space around you that you busy indulging in the smell of your own farts and don't want to be inconvenienced by the presence of others who think its their right to sit near/next to you just because they bought a ticket. There must be a solution to this problem, perhaps we can make them sit at the back of the bus or something to stop their presence from disturbing decent folk like your good self too much.

Ah sure fook it, perhaps we should just kill them all and burn the bodies I say though not near you of course, we wouldn't want to offend your delicate nostrils now would we.

Another non-smoker here. In fact, I would describe myself more as an anti-smoker.

My mother died of throat cancer at the age of 54 when I was 15. Not pleasant watching someone slowly choke to death. She was a smoker.

i have never smoked and never will because smoking is stupid. every kid i've ever known who's picked up the smokes regrets the decision to do so. and they regret that for a reason.

HAHAHAHAHA. I hate to be the one who breaks this to you. But yes. According to this sentence you do.
2 metres away is nearly in your face for God's sake hahahaha. I don't have any problem with smokers overall, just the smoke when it's that close to me as I don't think anyone would want someone that close puffing in their face.

Pretty much the same for me but I mix it up with a bit of Horse once a month or every two months.

    Moderation is everything.

Ciggs are detrimental to your health, expensive and extremely addictive.

But they can also be very enjoyable.

Never smoked, never tried either. Hate the smell of them.

I don't smoke, but I did go through a short phase about a year ago where I did. I've no idea why really. Complete waste of money, in my opinion, and as for the smell - ew.

Tried it as a teenager, didn't like it. Both of my parents do, and my father is crippled with a smokers cough. I wish they'd both give them up =/

Remember a regular in our bar who was off them 20 years...
I had sneaked off to the jacks for a cig when he came in and was chatting away with him...he told me that he smoked and gave them up 20 years ago...
"do you miss em" I asked..
His reply..."I'd happily kill everyone in this pub if I could just smoke one cigarette" and he was deadly serious...he used to love his smoke.
I was thinking I'd never get off them then :D

And god I hate those people who only smokign at weekends with a few beers or 2 or 3 a day...I know a few like that and I'd happily kill the bastards if I could steal that habit :D
But 20-40 a day is not good for you and so off them.

Glad to see another Bensoner, one day in school everyone started smoking Marlboro Lights. I never found out why. Benson is a mans smoke, I need to feel my tonsils getting kicked

I lived abroad many years ago, but sometimes you'd walk into a pub & see 20 Carrolls + a Homestead lighter on the bar....You always knew there was a 'Paddy' about...

A homestead lighter will last at least two years if you don't lose it!

I don't mean to make a sweeping dramatic generalisation but people who smoke are usually are predatory perverts.

A friend whom I admired respected and looked up too as a role model offered me a cigar. I thought I wouldnt get hooked but it soon happened. I was 29 at the time I have since stopped for 18 months but foolishly went back on them. I am trying now to stop They are a scourge and an infernal damnation on my life If you dont smoke keep it that way. Life is a disaster and a penance if you smoke.

I really don't understand why anyone in this day and age would pick them up in the first place. Whatever about years ago when people didn't know all the ill-affects, but nowadays there's not really any excuse. It's disgusting. The smell is everywhere, and merely passing by a group of smokers will make the stench cling to my clothes and hair for the rest of the day. It's slowly killing the smokers (and who doesn't know at least 1 person who battled/died from lung cancer?) while charging them extortionately for the pleasure. And, from what I can see, there's no benefits to it other than easing the nicotine addiction they gave themselves. Besides, even looking at the ingredients that make up cigarettes - it's nasty nasty crap. Lining your lungs with tar. On top of all that, it's an acquired taste that makes many people gag the first couple of times they try it. WHY persist???

To be honest, as much as I'd like to say I don't mind smokers so long as they don't smoke near me, I do judge them. :o I can't help it. It's just foul.

Thats what I dont get, in the last 3 years I'd say I've had about 5 cigars, and haven't had one in the last year.

These weren't tiny cigars, these were €15 a pop Cubans the size of bread rolls and were like smoking a briquette. Not at any one time have I ever felt even the slightest addictiveness off them, I purely had them because at the time I wanted one.

I don't think I'll buy another because I don't even have the €15 to spend so stupidly anymore. Pointless really + Negative health effects (although, 1 every few months would do no harm) yada yada yada
