    5 miles in 43:xx, pace of 8:45
This wasn't a very nice run, probably a bit too fast for me.

Nothing wrong with a few fast miles now and again, gets the body use to adapting. :D

That's what I tried telling myself last night when I was powering up a hill into the wind! :)
By the way, I've been checking out your log, your training is going great!

Slower though than your MSB 5km pace..... I'd say you have a sub 40 5 mile in you.
I have disregarded the fact that you are running 20 miles and training for a marathon:D
Great running this week by the way!

Didn't get to run on Friday, but 10 miles in Killarney national park on Saturday in the rain-sun-rain-sun 1:32, pace of 9:13
Took me 2/3 miles to get into the swing of things, was comfortable at the end. Forgot to bring my bodyglide with me... more chaffing to contend with. :(

What are you running in? Does everything chafe?

You'd need to be careful how much you give away here, jcsmum :)

Many people find lycra shorts/capris (on special in a Lidl near you this week) help to reduce chafe. But assuming you already run in that sort of clobber, bodyglide is your friend, as you clearly already know.

You are talking about MrSlow here - I'd make no such assumptions:)

Now, put your hand in front of your face, your Dunnes beige blouson jacket over your head and hold the nice man's hand as you leave the courthouse - don't say a word:)

Classic, trying to divert attention from yourself? Which of us has dubious taste in running attire again?

10 miles, in 1:36, pace of 9:38 (laps of marlay and st enda's park)
A bit slow and clunky to start, but after mile 4 it all felt easier

    4.5 miles in 41.09. pace 9.09
Was a bit lazy going out last night, but glad I did.

Are you around for a run on Sunday? Myself and Spaghetti are meeting in Howth and Digger may make an appearance.

OH is golfing on Sunday :(
I'll have to do my LSR tomorrow, might head over to the phoenix park.
Decisions, decisions. It's been a while since I met the 'gang'.

The 'Gang' will be thin on the ground for the next few weeks after Connemara.

I'll be honest and say I've no plan. :o Just trying to get an LSR, a medium run and 2 shorter faster runs in a week. My training was much more structured for DCM, but this time, I'm just making it up as I go along. :)

Sounds very similar to how I trained for Barcelona, only I had 5 runs in the week (LSR, 8-10 miles on Sunday, either 8-10 miles or a track session midweek, and two recovery runs).
