Replacement for Yamaha Amp/Receiver

My http://usa.yamaha.com/products/audio-visual/av-receivers-amps/rx/rx-v757_black__u/?mode=model is in intensive care and will cost the guts of €300 to repair. It's decision time as to whether to pay that or replace the whole thing. So much of the technology has changed since I got it 5/6 years ago and I'm just wondering…

It's decision time as to whether to pay that or replace the whole thing. So much of the technology has changed since I got it 5/6 years ago and I'm just wondering if anyone could suggest a similar spec but up to date replacement.

FYI the RXV - X67 series are discontinued
The current version are the RXV- x71 series.
Yamahas entry level RXV-3xx are good little amps , usually about €200 / €220 but have no "ooomph" so satellite speakers mostly ( the little small ones )
