Im going through redundancy in my current role.

Im afraid that if i mention this in an interview it wil affect my bargaining position.

As it has nothing to do with my performance, do i need to mention it to any potential new companies, or will they find out by other means?

If they ask you outright (as in "why are you leaving your current job"), tell them exactly what you've said there.

    Otherwise, say nothing.

But employers do like to know why you're applying for a job and what happened that you left your last job.
