Travelling to Usa with iPad1 - charger issue?

    Hey folks,

    Did a search of this forum but mostly seem to get results for people looking to buy while in USA.
    I've got a slightly different problem in that I'm heading to USA tomorrow for few weeks, but looking at the charger for my iPad it's probably not compatible.

    The charger with it comes in 3 parts, 3-pin piece, rated 220v, the main block 10W USB power adapter, rated 100-240v, and the usb cable connector to the pad.

    Is there somewhere I can pick up just the two-pin part of the charger to get it to work in the states, or should I just wait till I get there and head to an apple store and buy the full charger?

    Thats not what I need though - I already have a few of them

    The 3-pin part of the ipad charger says its only rated to 220, so it's either not going to work on the American 110v system, charge extremely slowly, or damage the charger/ipad.

    I need to get either a 110v compatible ipad charger or the US 2-pin piece to click on to the charging unit in place of the 3-pin one that came with it.

    All you need is an adapter. The charger will look after the rest, once it is plugged in, in the same way as the iPhone chargers work, and laptop chargers work.
