If the fire engine needs 497 gallons of water to put out the fire, how much water will it have left?

Travels 50 miles in 60 mins = 5 miles in 6 mins

Loses 20 gallons in 60 mins = 1 gallon in 3 mins

Therefore loses 2 gallons in the 6 minute journey. That means it's left with 498.

It needs 497 for the fire so has one gallon left.

It's early but I think that's correct. Yeah?

I think it's 1 gallon.

5 miles at 50mph = 6 mins
6 mins @ 20 gallons per hour = 2 gallons

500 - 497 - 2 = 1 gallon...

Although depends on how long takes to put the fire out. Probably a trick question...
