Gravity anomalies at mountains

Can someone tell me please are gravity anomalies at mountains positive or negative?

It makes sense that they are positive due to increased elevation to the earths surface/more mass.

But I have also read that the material in the mountain rock is less dense than the crust., so they are negative???
So what is the answer please?

Positive. Mountains can be made of any rock type, although the higher ones are always sedimentary, which very very broadly means that they're slightly less dense. This is going to be more than made up for by their mass.
