Galway City: safe places to park bike?

    I'm new to Galway and would appreciate advice on safish places to park bike in or near the city-centre.

    Also, are there any parking facilities (with bars to lock bike to) in Ceannt train station, or under/in the new bus station on Foster St for cyclists who are using trains and buses? Go raibh maith agat.

    There are spaces in Eyre Square, at the bottom of Mainguard Street and near Jury's that I know of and should be plenty more designated spots. I would never leave a bike in the city outside of main shopping hours and definitely not over night, although it depends on your bike but it might still get kicked or jumped on.

    Not sure about the train station or the bus station, best just to go down and take a look or re-post this in the Galway forum. I've never needed to lock my bike there so wouldn't be looking.

    Also try the galway city website as it might have a list of locations.
