Some work I did lately for someone:

A nice tele that wants a new cutaway:
    1.jpg

A design done by tracing curves from the other heel untill I got something I liked.
    2.jpg

1/4" Template cut out and sanded.
    3.jpg

3/4" working template made from the original, all lined up and ready for routing.

    The first cut...

    Most routing done:

One cut from the opposite side:

Some sanding and some shellac sanding sealer to protect the wood and its done

If anyone wants the design I scanned it so I can email it. Just send me a PM.

It was a bit but it felt fine. I wouldn't like to do it except in this case were the guy is playing a right-handed one left handed and wanted the fret access.
