What exactly is the criteria for thread of the day?

    Post of the day, its a long standing boards.ie tradition where the post with the most thanks gets POTD (surprise surprise!).

    Todays TOTD:
    This One Has 7 posts, was posted at 6.30am and closed about 3 hours later.

    I got Thread of the Day about a month ago for a very bog standard thread that didn't even get that many replies or views. I have no idea why. I think it's randomly generated.
