Had two cars off the road for various lengths. The corolla was off the road from june 2008 until june 2010!!! Changed the battery and it started ( with the 2 year old unleaded in the tank ) It flew through an NCT last summer and is running fine now. Some clown dinted the back before christmas and the panel beater told me it was a write off. I actually knocked the back corner out myself and ordered primer, paint and two tail lights for the total of 100 euro. She is now as good as new and passed another NCT!!! 150K miles on the clock

The megane was off the road for 6 months. Brakes siezed, battery dead, engine wrecked as too many bits falling apart to justify trying to make her run again.

Is there a reason why french cars are this poor?

I think the megane was in poor condition before it was taken off the road.
I've a 1997 Laguna and over my 8 years of ownership I've had it off the road for long periods (actually off the road at the moment) and its always been fine when I put it back on. Don't even have to charge the battery.

I think you should be celebrating the relaibility of the 4E-FE engine instead of having a go at frenh cars!

You started your beloved Corolla using 2 year old unleaded? That's just abuse!

@dnme :) I wanted to see how tough the corolla really was.
