Where to get High Nelly tyres?

My dad is doing up a High Nelly bike with 28" tyres (28x1 1/2) I have been told that 700c tyres will not fit the rims. Can anyone tell me where can I buy these tyres, I am not looking for high end tyres as the bike will not be used much if ever. They are also called 40-635.

Schwalbe Marathon or Marathon Plus are available in 28 x 1.5- CRC certainly has them: M/MP.

For something a little less modern, The Old Bicycle Showroom has 28" x 1.1/2" (40 - 635) Vintage Roadster Block Tread Black Tyres.

These are just two that spring to mind; I'm sure there are others. The tyres on my Dutch bike are, I think, a brand called Breaker- they came with the bike. A quick search yielded nothing online.

Try www.highnelly.ie they have everything for the origional rod braked bikes.
