Was in London, some time in the 90s when April Fools Day fell on a Saturday, and one of regional radio station for there weekday DJ to come on and broadcast as if it was Friday March 31st. People all over the place (most of whom had gotten ****faced the night before) called into to complain about getting to the tube/train stations and wondering where the **** everyone was and why the trains were coming at weird times. One guy phoned in saying he'd just had an argmument with his kids because he tried to get them up for school.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

one year I got my dads beer out of the fridge..brought it to a paintshop, put it on one of those vibrating mixers for an hour, came home and put it back in the fridge

waited for him to look for it on 1st April and said "April foo" I only got that far as the house blew up then and beer came out of the chimney...
then a cop stopped his car a few blocks away and proceded to the scene on foot, it was a great laugh

In primary school (aged about 10), I convinced several classmates that April 1st was a public holiday and that the schools would be closed (the next day).

They were not happy the next morning...

I have a test with 20 questions done out with a heading - Read ALL the questions before you start - for my fifth class. The last question, number 20 is - say fool 3 times and then todays date straight away ( to yourself). I wonder how many will just start the test!!

Probably not the funniest prank. But I had a house mate before who was late for everything. If he said he'd be there at 5, he'll turn up at 7. If he had to be in at college at 9 he'd get their at 10. So the night before April fools we changed the time on his phone so that it was an hour earlier just before he went to bed.

That was the first time he ever made it on time in his college life!

Tell your friends / classmates / colleagues to try this ...

We've all heard of the things our minds can do with placebos etc. but this is probably the easiest test and it comes down to taste..
What you do is tilt your head back slightly, put your tongue out and pretend to a shake a salt shaker into your mouth..
If ya do this for a few seconds, you can actually get a salty taste in the back of your throat.

Let me know if it works

I'd bet you couldn't fool your mother on the foolingest day of your life if you had an electrified fooling machine.

The origin of April Fools day stems from the change from the Pagan to the Christian calendar.

    So, Christianity defined thusly as...
The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree.

Hmmm, so who do you think are the real April Fools here?

One year I rang my boyfriends mate and pretended to be from his work. I told him that we needed to meet with him immediately regarding sensitive images that had been found upon a search of his internet history.

He had that day and the following day off so I arranged a meeting for the following day and sounded really grave and serious on the call. Had him going for a good while but gave in and told him eventually!

    I love April fools day!

As kids, my dad never failed to torture us on April Fools Day - One April 1st, I got my revenge:

Earlier that year, he had genuinely sent in an application form to be on the irish version of Who Wants to be a Millionaire.... So, early that morning, I asked the receptionist at my work to phone him up pretending to be an RTE researcher for the show to tell him he had been selected as a contestant for the very first show to be televised that week with Gay Byrne! She put him on speakerphone throughout my open office as he screamed the place down with excitement, he finally thanks her and hangs up... Five mins later, the receptionist anounces my father is on line 2 for me so i put him back on the office speaker as he almost weeps with joy while asking me what suit should he wear, would his yellow tie be too shiney for the cameras etc (to be honest i dont remember much else because the whole office was in histerics!) - Anyway, i had let my mam in on the secret - but about 5 hours later, she phones me asking me to tell him the truth because by then, he had cancelled all his work appointments for the week, booked his workmates to be his phone-a-friends and had gone to the library to study irish history!! I wouldn't, and left him going overnight but mam called me again the next morning begging me to tell him because he had dug out our old Simon-Says toy and was practicing Fasted-Finger-First!!!
He was devastated when i told him the truth!

And on, April 2nd, his hard drive was strangely and coincidently wiped by a strange virus...?
