A friend of mine who works in an NGO needs a simple mechanism for people who visit her organisation's website to subscribe to the organisation's electronic newsletter. Is there some simple software she can load which will create the database of email addresses and also handle the "subscribe" / "unsubscribe" stuff?

do a search for cgi scripts on www.google.com

a simple form that posts the email address to her as email..
she could compile the db manually

and use another application to
send out the newsletter
