Needed to get a replacement gas canister for a bbq at the weekend at short notice.

So picked one up in Farrell's petrol station in Knocknacarra (across from Spinnaker).

I was shocked to see it cost me a staggering €31.65
(for only a regular 13kg yellow Flo Gas canister).

Have prices gone that high or was I ripped off

Last time I replaced it I think it was only around the €20 mark.

    Are they that expensive????

yup..price of gas keeps increasing every couple of months.
I go through about 4 of them every winter. Price goes up by a few cents every 2 bottles.
Cheapest I've found is in texaco at the docks beside the Harbour hotel.
    €29.65

Last time I bought one - probably 8 mts ago, they were just over 29Euro, so that price is probably about right considering how much home heating oil has increased during the same time.

Wow so they really have gone up in price that much. Thanks :)

Well at least they were right to charge me that so and I wasn't ripped off.
