Baking Class in Cork?

    Hi all,
    Anyone know of baking classes in Cork?
    I'm looking for something short like a 2 or 3 hour class which teaches things like desserts, muffins, cakes, etc..
    Anyone help?

    There's a place on Oliver Plunkett Street called Brennans I think - classes are given there. It's more the Emmet Place end of the street. It's a real specialist kinda place - looks high quality so I guess it might be a bit pricey, but investigate anyway.

    CIT do an excellent bakery course. As a frequent taste tester for someone who did the course I can definitely recommend it.

    Sugar Cafe on Washington street (right beside dominos pizza) teach classes (on Fridays iirc). I think it's €50 per class. She definitely knows what she is doing, I'm not a huge fan of the place personally.

    Did a Thai cookery class there a few years ago. Wasn't that well organised, though cause it was the first cookery class I'd ever done, I took the positives out of it and didn't complain.
    Have done much better classes elsewhere since. If it was going to cost a significant amount, I think I'd be checking refund policies in advance so if outcomes are missed or hurried, I could at least get something back.
    A person may be a good cook, but that doesn't mean they can teach cooking. In fact, having had a senior position in an international hotel group, in my experience, many cooks have limited 'people' skills.
