get some meguires paint cleaner or similar (halfords have it) and polish it out.

You've got two different paint defects there, the handprints (Most likely due to sunscreen, or sudocream on hands), and the scratches. You'll get the sunscreen out with a good paint cleaner, but the scratches may still be there. Drag your nail across them, if your nail goes down even the slightest, they won't polish out. If it doesn't, a good machine polish will get them out - doing it by hand won't do a whole lot and will tire you out after 15/30 minutes.

would it do the same job? The scratch is catching on fingernail alright, would the above cleaner be suitable with power buffer aswell

The general rule is : If your nail catches you cant polish the scratch out. However if your nail does catch then a buffer can still round off the edges of a scratch so make it less noticeable.

T-cut wont really remove scratches but it might fill them and again make it less noticeable.

Btw - If you are gonna use a machine - be careful not to burn the paint or use a DA rather than rotary
