Well done Elliee on all your wins, not sure if I will make the journey either for the Big Mommas House goody bag! Let me know what's in it if you do collect it.

Ghall, I went up this evening to collect the goodie bag, it was a t-shirt fridge magnets and a keyring.
Not much to write home about tbh.

Thanks Elliee for letting me know, not really sure if I will make the journey to collect it myself!

    Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has entered the Lyons Storytelling Competition online? As far as I can see, it's not very well run and is probably completely unfair - mainly due to the point that all you have to do is type in "a," ie not necessarily your own, email address to register a vote. This means that any old chancer could sit down at the same computer, type in a million different votes and the recipient of these votes will unfairly get a place in the final.

I actually think it's a disgrace. Does anyone know if there is a body who regulates these sort of competitions? I was very excited about this one until I discovered the fatal flaw and now I - not willing to cheat - have decided to sit back and let the people willing to do so get to the final.

    Major Letdown. Bad work Lyons!!

Probally a stupid question but do you need to be a member of facebook to enter all the facebook competitions?

But its worth it for some small prizes, CDs, books, tea, book tokens...
Set up a specific FB account, you don't have to use your real name, you can call yourself anything!

Absolutely! I've a special FB account for comps and there's no way I'd want the amount of commercial stuff that posts to it's wall to be seen by my friends. The companies running the comps want all your friends to know you entered to get a viral effect going, but they won't really know that you're using a dedicated competition account.
