Does anyone know if RTE keep an archive of old GAA games? Is it possible to get copies of games from them?

Yeah, had a look earlier. It's a decent selection but it's not a comprehensive archive.

They obviously have all the games they've covered down the years archived because they use old footage quite regularly. Is it a case of knowing someone or making a special request I wonder? Lots of old games that I'd love to have a look at.

RTE can't/won't give access to GAA archives
For reasons of copyright RTÉ is unable to supply the following content:
-Sports content, e.g., GAA and FAI games

Whats the quality like? Is it as broadcast on the day?
Also do they have the game build up and half-time/full-time analysis or just the game itself?

    Thanks.

I ordered one game from them and the quality was as broadcast. It was the mid-nineties so slightly inferior to what you'd expect these days. Game was only shown as highlights on RTE so there was no analysis or build up to be included or left out.
