bulls have to be tested every three months and this is very strict-semen cant be used since the last clear test.

what was the sire-say some smashing gormez lee and rxr stock recently

in all fairness whelan ur scare mongering:confused:.prob 99% of irish herds have ibr and really it would'nt make a differance if the bulls were ibr positive.also those in ncbc are not going to sell straws from ibr positive bulls they have destroyed all straws produced since the last clear test.

I don't think IBR is all that common.

My herd doesn't have IBR, it was tested recently. However I trust NCBC to have safe IBR free semen available. They didn't kill 81 bulls for nothing, they followed the law regarding AI and disease.

    According to http://www.pedigreecattle.ie/pcanimalhealth-ibr.php
It is a requirement under EU legislation that bulls producing semen for commercial production must be free of IBR antibodies.
